The question of whether plants have to ability to think has recently resurfaced. Many scientists flatly refuse to believe that plants have the ability to think. However, if we go beyond comparing plants and humans directly we find that they have many characteristics that exhibit that there may be more going on. For example, the fact that they using electrical signaling to communicate with different parts of each plant shows more. The fact is we will never know whether plants can think unless we do more observation and research on plant life and their innate behavior.

Key Takeaways:

  • Plants have electrical signals that are similar to the human brain.
  • Electrical signals from plants can have the potential to process and carry information.
  • Venus flytrap has electric impulse and it will act every time it is touched.

“All such species have an information processing network made up of nerve cells arranged into complex hierarchies that converge in a brain.”
